Job Summary: Take on product ownership and facilitate both internal and external team collaboration for projects from concept to delivery. Work with project stakeholders throughout the organization to define product & project scope and author detailed business requirements.
Lead the design of the user experience / usability and creation of wireframe prototypes that meet ShareBuilder's usability and user experience guidelines. Maintain a strong awareness of customer needs, evaluate product performance, monitor the competitive landscape, and manage ongoing product enhancements for both the website and mobile applications.
Essential Functions: - Strategic thinking around existing and new business opportunities - Product and competitive product knowledge expert which includes monitoring and collecting market data, information about emerging trends, competing products, and customer feedback - Develop RFPs as part of vendor selection process as well as ongoing vendor management responsibilities - Author business requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products. Develop/modify customer user experience through the creation of wireframes and use cases - Monitor customer needs and respond by making adjustments to user experience via enhancement requests - Prioritize and manage defects in area of product ownership / responsibility for monthly releases - Participation in project planning and communicating project status - Approval of the final new product delivery as well as managing ongoing product improvements and marketing efforts - Responsible for scrutinizing product performance and profitability to analyze for potential product improvements
Experience & Qualifications: - 7+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years of Product or Program Management for an e-commerce and/or financial services organization - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and with cross organizational teams - Familiarity with the ShareBuilder site, business model and offerings or similar online financial services products - Experience with Agile software development, specifically the Scrum process - Strong communication and problem solving skills
Education and/or Certifications: - MBA or BA degree - Certificate in Product Management is a plus
Technical skills and abilities: - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio - Familiarity with general website architecture
