“Market Research Director/Director of Client Services” (Waltham MA)

Position Description The Market Research Director/Director of Client Services is responsible for leading the strategic thinking and application of IDDEA solutions and associated offerings to help clients effectively develop new products, revitalize existing brands, design packaging, and create marketing campaigns. This individual works closely with VP of Client Services and Client Management (sales) and will manage a team of research managers and support staff through the design, execution, and analysis process. Specific responsibilities include:

• Account Development and Team Management o Educate clients on Affinnova’s complete range of innovation and marketing solutions o Develop long-term business relationships based on strategic and tactical expertise o Establish trust based on demonstrated commitment to quality and service o Mentor and develop personnel for future career growth

• Scoping and Implementation o Consult with clients on brand-level marketing and innovation initiatives that Affinnova can expertly address o Develop and author proposals that provide solutions that best meet client objectives o Manage client services team to ensure project requirements are successfully executed o Lead result presentations that deliver insightful, strategic, and actionable answers for clients

• Project Management o Identify key business issues, recognize strategic implications, and propose solutions o Manage multiple national and international projects from initial scoping to results presentation o Lead client services team to ensure that client needs are met and projects are successfully executed o Interpret and translate results into confident, insightful, actionable recommendations that meet client business objectives and strategies

Requirements
Requirements • Experience: o 7+ years of supplier side market research experience with a concentration in quantitative research methodologies, e.g., discrete choice and conjoint o Clear career progression that includes leading and growing a team o Proven track record of quantifiable accomplishments o Experience working on international projects preferred

• Skills: o Strong leadership – people, project, and thought o Persuasive verbal and written communication o Relationship selling o Ability to identify business issues, recognize strategic implications, and propose solutions o Strategic and analytical problem-solving o Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects, and teams

• Characteristics o Leadership, results-driven o Entrepreneurial – self-motivated, persistent, and resourceful o High integrity o Expert o Open, honest, and genuine o Optimistic, passionate, and committed o Confident and persuasive o Collaborative, inclusive o Intelligent - strategic, analytical, creative, and innovative
