Job Description
Summary: Ideal candidate will be highly ambitious, resourceful and have experience in the logistics/transportation industry. This position is responsible for managing the Marketing Department, driving Marketing projects & initiatives as well as supporting the SEKO Worldwide Strategic Account Directors and SEKO Global Logistics Network sales efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, others duties may be assigned: • Facilitate SEKO ‘s external communications and public relations by working directly with our public relations and marketing partner/firm to develop a strategic plan, press releases, case studies, bylined articles, interviews, mentions in industry directories, and manager our advertisements. • Oversees Corporate graphic standards and proper uses by all relevant parties. • Develop lead-generation strategies through all available and appropriate channels. • Develop and implement cost-effective and creative ideas for marketing projects to help Global & USA domestic Strategic Partners grow accounts and brand awareness. • Work closely with SEKO’s VP of Global Sales & Marketing to execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives. • Responsible for monitoring costs and return on investments, identifying market trends & opportunities and maintaining policies & procedures • Facilitate and coordinate internal communications including but not limited to company updates and newsletters. • Participate as an acting member on SEKO’s Conference Planning committees. • Coordinate and successfully complete SEKO’s RFI’s (Request for Information), RFP’s (Request for Pricing), RFQ’s (Request for Quotes) and overall bid process. Responsible for preparation of pricing, rates, rules and regulations, and accessorials, as well as creatively and professionally complet the informational portion of bids.

Additional Responsibilities • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff. Currently manage three staff members. • Oversee follow-up communication with stations and customers to affirm commitments. • Provide hands-on skills training for SEKO field sales personnel. • Comply with SEKO’s C-TPAT Security Profile. • Expected to uphold SEKO’s Core Values.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education, Experience, Skill Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; six (6) years of marketing experience and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a managerial-level sales and/or marketing position ; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience with strategic planning and execution of marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and public relations efforts in the transporation/3PL industry. Strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Written and verbal English proficiency. Ability to speak and write other languages a big plus.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount interest commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
