We are seeking a Product Research Manager. In this role you will be responsible for:
• Managing multiple research projects and overseeing all phases of these projects including vendor selection and monitoring day to day operations. • Directing the interpretation, use and implications of all research, including member satisfaction information, to improve business decisions and knowledge base for future strategic planning. • Consulting with Program Management, Marketing and Innovation to understand research issues and develop the best quality research design to meet the needs of each function. • Establishing annual Member Satisfaction Quality Studies (MSQS) plan, goals, agenda and budget. Facilitating and participating actively in continuous improvement action planning and tracking for products and services measured by MSQS. • Consulting with and supporting the Travel and Discounts product and services Line of Businesses. • Effectively communicating and presenting to different audiences. • Developing documents that stakeholders can use for organizational business needs. • Coordinating and collaborating with other key AARP departments. • Identifying, acquiring, and analyzing relevant secondary market research in support of business objectives. • Gathering, analyzing and evaluating industry/competitive data to support business objectives. • Providing input into the development of new, improved and/or more cost effective marketing research tools, methods, and process and provide leadership in bringing this new knowledge to bear on the organization’s decision making.

Requirements |

• BS/BA degree, preferably in business/marketing research or related discipline. • 10+ years of primary (custom) market research experience, ideally from a corporate environment. • Excellent communication skills. • Customer satisfaction survey management experience required. • Must be able to create in-depth analytical conclusions from results collected and link those findings with the strategic direction and goals of the organization. • MS PowerPoint • Proficiency in SPSS. • Must have in-depth understanding of advanced quantitative research methodologies (Conjoint, Cluster, Factor, TURF, Multivariates, Significance Testing, Sample weighting, etc.) • Extensive experience with all traditional secondary data sources. • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and to plan, organize, and implement multiple projects within time and budget constraints.
